Operation Vijay/Operation Duck /Operation Bison

On 22 October 1947, Pakistani tribesmen looted Jammu and Kashmir’s areas Baramulla, Uri and Muzaffarabad and burnt down villages. This war was not only between two countries but also between religions. Pakistani tribesmen used to kill Hindus and Sikhs wherever they saw them. When Pakistan was asked about the tribesmen attack in Kashmir, it flatly denied it. The attack was increasing day by day and the ruler of Kashmir came forward to seek help from India. On 26 October 1947, Maharaja Hari Singh signed the Instrument of Taxation and merged with India. Now Jammu and Kashmir had officially become a part of India and the Indian Army started taking immediate action and India started Operation Jack on the morning of 27 October to protect Kashmir and started searching for Pakistani cavalry. In this attack, there were about 4000 Pakistani cavalry who were carrying out this incident. There was so much massacre in this attack that more than 3000 Hindus and people of other religions died in a city and women were being tortured so badly that they thought it right to commit suicide by jumping into the well. In this war, Operation Vijay was also launched by the Indian Army.

Operation Duck was started in September 1948. Later, the name of Operation Duck was changed to Operation Bisdom. Within a few months, the Indian army had driven out the Pakistani tribesmen from the region of Kashmir. But then some such incidents happened due to which the Kashmir issue remained unresolved till date. On 1 January 1949, both the countries agreed for a ceasefire and firing was suspended wherever the army of any country was located. 65% of the area came under the control of India while 35% of the area went under the control of Pakistan.

Operation Gibraltar

It was launched by Pakistan’s General Ayub Khan. Pakistan had prepared a guerilla force for Jammu and Kashmir whose number was around 40,000. Gibraltar is a physical location and name of a place which shares treaty with Africa and Europe. The aim of this operation was to incite the Kashmiri people internally so that the population of Kashmir turns against the Indian government. When the guerilla army of Pakistan came to Kashmir, it was killing the soldiers here and some infiltrations had been made which were committing atrocities socially, breaking some of the bonds and also disrupting the telecommunication service of India. Thinking all this, they were carried out in this task. The Pakistani army had to convince that if we do everything here, then the people there will turn against the government and will talk of merging Kashmir with Pakistan.

On August 1965, the Pakistani Ghaznavi army had entered some areas of Kashmir and had also captured small areas in them. The Ghaznavi army was divided into 10 small units by Pakistan and they were named after Muslim officers. Pakistan promoted the most terrorist activities in three areas of India, in retaliation, the Indian Army started a search operation and started searching for Pakistani terrorists, regained the area of 388 square meters which Pakistan had captured and also destroyed the Pakistani military base.

Operation Gibraltar did not end here completely, after some time Pakistan started another new operation against India named Grand Slam, this operation was started on 1 September 1965 at 0500 hours, the main objective of this operation was to destroy the stable Aakhnoor Bridge in Kashmir so that Indian military communication and military activities could be stopped, Akhnoor Bridge was the only way with the help of which this area could be reached.

But due to the courage and bravery of the Indian soldiers, the operation also failed and Pakistan stopped its soldiers, in response to this, on 6 September, the Indian Army also crossed the international border in the area of Punjab, its direct meaning was that the Pakistani military route had to be closed by cutting the Grand Trunk Road near Lahore. Seeing all these actions of the Indian army, the Pakistani army had to retreat and stop the war in which Pakistan suffered heavy military losses. On 23 September, Pakistan decided to completely stop the action. In this war, the Pakistani army had 3 American fighter planes.

INS Nipat
INS Nirghat
INS Veer.

The Battle of Longewala took place on 4 December in which the Indian Navy destroyed the city of Karachi.

Operation Python was launched on 8 and 9 December. This operation was launched by the Indian Navy to teach a lesson to the Pakistani Navy. In this operation, the Indian Air Force attacked Murid Airways.

This was launched to carry out Operation Trident, in which the entire Pakistani army was taken under control and in this war, the Pakistani city of Karachi was destroyed by about 50%. Along with this, the effect of this war was seen on two more cities, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

On 16 December, the Mukti Bahini Army captured Dhaka and the Pakistani Navy had to surrender to the Indian Navy and Bangladesh emerged. On 22 December, the government of Bangladesh was fully formed.

Operation Meghdoot

It is of 13th April 1984 when despite the agreement between India and Pakistan, Pakistani army captured Siachen Glacier by deceit. In response to this, India had to launch Operation Meghdoot. This operation was full of dangers because it is stable on straight lines and the weather goes from -20 degrees to -40 degrees. In such a situation, the soldiers had to face many difficulties. Indian army has used some special weapons in this operation. HMG heavy machine, motor and RPG climbed Siachen Glacier with very few weapons and gave a befitting reply to Pakistani army. In a short time, they captured the peaks of Siachen Glacier. After a few years, Pakistani army tried to climb Siachen Glacier again in 1987, but Indian army did it under Operation Rajiv. But Pakistani army had to face defeat once again.

Operation Vijay [Kargil]

Just 3 months after the Indo-Pak Shimla Agreement, Pakistan had occupied the peaks in the Drass Battalic area of Kargil near the LOC and started bombing there. In response to this, the Indian Army started Operation Vijay on 3 May 1999. The Pakistani Army had built a fort to protect our army from the enemy. The operation was asked to be posted at the highest point because our army had the power to use weapons very limitedly on the high peaks. Therefore, the Pakistani Army was attacked with the help of tanks, but the LOC area was not completely vacated. Our Air Force launched Operation Safed Swagat on 26 May 1999. As soon as this operation started, the Indian Navy had to face many difficulties. Due to the malfunction of the helicopter, the pilot had to make an emergency landing. But the Indian Air Force then landed Mirag 2000 on the ground and the Indian Navy started Operation Talwar. After completing this operation and defeating the Pakistani army, the Indian government asked to declare 14th July as the full operation day, only then the Indian army took permission for the search operation and on 26th July 1999 the full operation was declared successful. Surgical Strike 2016

Surgical strike is related to an attack which is done suddenly on the enemy. In this attack, the enemy does not even get a clue and the attacking army returns after the attack. The head of this village has only to kill the enemy or destroy the enemy’s hideout. In this village, full care is taken of the safety of the common citizens. This attack is carried out by the Air Force. To carry out this attack, the strategy is prepared in a confidential manner and the number of military officers participating in this attack is also kept limited and such weapons are used which cause minimum harm to the common citizens or nature.

On 18 September 2016, at 5:30 am in a place called Uri in Baramulla district, the Army Headquarters of Uri sector was attacked by the Pakistanis. They had come with full preparation. They had advanced weapons. They suddenly attacked the head quarter without any warning. In this attack, 18 Indian soldiers were killed. Jawab soldiers were killed. It was only after this Uri attack that Indian army continued the search operation and tried to find out which terrorists had carried out the attack and from where? Now it was the turn of Indian army to take action. At the same time, due to political activities in the world, Indian army took some time to take action and on the night of 28 September, Indian army started attacking the hideout of Pakistani terrorists and kept up this operation throughout the night. Before dawn, our army went back to its hideouts. It is a matter of pride that during this attack on our village, the number of our soldiers who attained martyrdom has not decreased even now.

Operation Bandar [Balakot]

On 14 February 2019, Pakistani terrorists attacked Pulwama. A bomb was dropped on a bus of the Indian Army in Pulwama in which 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred. After this attack, there was discontent in pure India. Every lamp of those families who had given every brave soldier to this country was extinguished forever. Just 4 days after the retaliatory action of this attack, on 18 February 2019, Indian security agency Mr. Ajit Doval and Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi organized a meeting and tried to find out the whereabouts of Pakistani terrorists. It was also found out that in Pakistan, terrorists practice. Among these, Sabainala, Bahawalpur and Balakot are the hideouts from where terrorists carry out their activities. Indian Army chose Balakot to take revenge for the attack in Pulwama. This action was named Operation Bandar. This was a hair style action which was started on 26 February. Indian fighter aircraft were used in the strike. From which
Mirage 2000
Sukhoi 30MKI

In 21 minutes the Indian Air Force avenged the attack in Pulwama and by 11:00 am the whole India came to know about it

Operation Sindoor

On 22 April 2025, Pakistani terrorists suddenly attacked civilians in Pahalgam of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir without any warning. This attack was not a mere act, it was a well thought out terrorist strategy. The preparations for this attack had started from the first week of April itself. The terrorists were so tough that their daily activities and military operations could not be known. During public relations, the terrorists targeted the hotels of Pahalgam in such a way that the tourism activity in Kashmir was increasing very rapidly and the terrorists do not want to see improvement in the economy of Kashmir because they want the Kashmiri people to get angry with the Indian government and demand the merger of Kashmir with Pakistan. The terrorists had chosen three areas of Pahalgam whose air was legal. This was in Green Maidan. On 22 April, three terrorists took entry by buying tickets and hid their weapons so that no one could know and the terrorists had to walk a few steps. The travellers had to flee from Green Park towards Vikas Dwar. Then two more terrorists come in army uniform. The passengers think that they have come for our security but it is not so. When the passengers gathered on one side, the terrorists separated the men and women and asked the men to recite Kalma but when they could not do so, they killed 26 innocent passengers. In this operation, when Adil Hussain snatched the gun from the terrorist, the terrorist shot him three times and killed Adil as well. That operation lasted for about 20 to 25 minutes. In retaliation to this attack, Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Army from 1:05 pm on 6 May which lasted for 25 minutes. In which 9 Pakistani terrorists were killed. 9 Pakistani terrorists were eliminated and the terrorists were also killed in their hideouts.

In this operation, no Pakistani military hideout was targeted nor was security provided to the common citizens. The main message of this operation was to pay attention to the terrorist hideouts and also to make the terrorists realize that this is India and it knows how to give a befitting reply to any action taken by a terrorist. The information about these 9 terrorist hideouts is as follows

Terrorist hideouts near the Line of Control

1 Sawai nala camp
2 syed na bilal camp
3 gulpur camp
4 Barnala camp
5 Abbas camp kotli
